Full-time Receptionist

Spicewood Vet Clinic is seeking a receptionist to help with clerical duties for a busy, fast-paced veterinary environment. We are looking for someone that is able to multitask, communicate confidently, keep the flow of appointments organized, and manage client relations – in person, on the phone, email, and via text messaging.

The workdays are weekdays and every other Saturday.  This can be discussed further during the interview process.

Job Duties:

  • Client Relations
  • Working directly with clients and coworkers to keep the clinic running effectively and efficiently
  • Basic secretarial functions
  • Interact with the clients to convey information about the clinic and/or veterinarians, the client’s pet’s health, and other correspondence.
  • Scheduling appointments for a variety of procedures
  • Organizing electronic charts
  • Filing
  • Answering multi-line phones, texts, and emails.
  • Cleaning in a veterinary clinic is a constant and equally shared task

  Qualifications:

  • Confidence in working around and handling dogs and cats
  • Must have your own transportation and be able to reliably commute to Spicewood, TX
  • Ability and experience working with: MS Word, MS Excel, Outlook 
  • Technology savvy
  • Must have a professional appearance and demeanor

Full-time Veterinary Technician

Spicewood Vet Clinic is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician that is licensed or has a minimum of 4 years of experience in the field.

Spicewood Vet Clinic is located in Spicewood, Texas. We are a full-service animal hospital that offers clinic and house call appointments, welcoming pet patients in need of routine medical, surgical, and dental care.

Job Description: Spicewood Vet Clinic Veterinary Technician’s primary duties include but are not limited to; assisting the veterinarians with nursing care for a variety of animals, pharmaceuticals, surgical assistance, anesthesia monitoring, animal restraint, emergency first aid and lifesaving procedures, driving our mobile care truck, and assisting with phones and scheduling.

Workdays are weekdays and every other Saturday. After-hours and on call shifts are scheduled out on a rotational basis. Hours and days of availability will be further discussed during the interview process.

Qualifications:

  • Must live in the Spicewood, Marble Falls, Bee Cave, Dripping Springs, and Lakeway area. Please do not apply if you do not live in or near one of
    these areas.
  • A registered CVT or have 4+ years’ experience as a Veterinary Technician
  • Confidence in working around and handling dogs, cats, pocket pets, and large animals.
  • Capable to work in a medical environment.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting
  • Ability to work outside in every climate
  • Ability to work in a client’s home respectfully
  • Must have a professional appearance and demeanor
  • Strong Organizational Skills
  • Strong Multitasking Skills
  • Very Efficient
  • Interest in working with people and interacting with clients

Spicewood Vet Clinic is seeking a full-time Veterinary Assistant. Clinic experience is not necessary. On-the-job training will require working at the front desk learning Client Services as well as in the back working with our Veterinary Technicians.
